In Toloriu, a small town nestled in the Catalan Pyrenees, the legend of Xipahuatzin is told by a daughter of the Aztec emperor Moctezuma brought here by Baron Joan de Grau who was a companion of Hernán Cortés during the Conquest of Mexico. A few years after her arrival, the princess died of sadness, perhaps unable to adapt to the cold winter of the mountains.
Three years ago from Mexico I came to live in Spain, and decided to go explore the place where the princess lived. At the same time that I discover these mountains and through the way the characters have to tell this story, this film talks about the human relationship with the space we inhabit. The place we want to feel our fill it with meanings, memories, desires, stories ...
