In the middle of nowhere lies the peaceful village of Barslet. The only weird thing about the village seems to be its name: Barslet. An old Dutch name, ‘bars’ meaning rough, ‘let’ meaning human: the rough human.
But the peace in Barslet is an illusion. In a short period of time the village is startled by a series of strange events: there is a pyromaniac at work, a young boy dies under mysterious circumstances, a child can predict the future and it even rains living fish at the market square.
