    • Synopsis
    • 60s, Brazil. Nando, a 12-year-old boy, narrates the adventures of his father, an idealistic dreamer who leaves the interior of Minas Gerais for the newly opened capital Brasília, but with construction still in progress. The desire for social advancement and to participate in the construction of the new capital takes Antônio and his family, in a truck, to the country's capital. Sustained by the political turmoil of the period and the reforms promised by then president João Goulart, Antônio was faced with political militancy and workers' unrest. Nando starts a new life and finds new friends and a new passion. The military coup arrives. Dreams become nightmares from one day to the next. An effervescent chapter in the history of Brazil told through the dreams of a family from the countryside.
