Mercado Filmes is an independent production company based in Brasilia. The company engages in activities in the fields of cinema and television. The film "O Pastor e o Guerrilheiro" competed in the Gramado, New York Latin American, and Trieste Latin American festivals. It won the Best Film award at the Brasília Film Festival. The film "O Outro Lado do Paraíso" competed in the Havana, Guadalajara, Huelva, Lima, and Rio de Janeiro festivals. It won the Best Film award at Gramado film festival.
Objective
The production company Mercado Filmes will seek co-production with European countries, Canada and the USA in order to secure additional budget support and the necessary conditions for filming in New York and Lisbon.There are open possibilities for the co-production composition with a future partner, including: Studios in Portugal and New York; Cast and crew members; and Post-production and delivery services in the countries of interested partners.
