- Synopsis
- Manchester is a talented young photographer whose subject matter contains strong sexual images. He rejects lighting, the planning of images or choreography in his images. There is no artificiality, just an instinctive technique, a couple of instamatic cameras and a willing girlfriend, Noon.
  Noon is our narrator, a shy taxidermist who works predominantly on domestic birds (pigeons, sparrows). She keeps road kill in the freezer alongside Manchester’s ice pops. They live together in a garage on wasteland in Northern Britain.
  Franny is a wealthy pornographer and connoisseur of erotica. When Franny discovers Manchester he launches him upon the unsuspecting art world where he becomes l'enfant terrible of the scene.
  Manchester's downfall is as rapid as his rise, he loses almost everything and only just wins back the one thing he loves, Noon.
