How does a mother feel when she meets the death of her son? Is there anything that can comfort her? Would someone be capable in those terrible moments of asking him to donate the organs of his loved one? Will you be able to overcome your own pain and understand the vital need of other people seriously ill with your child's kidney, heart or lung? Silvia Mira, a nurse from Alicante, has been facing these questions for fifteen years. Thanks to the five languages he has mastered, he has made more than 100 donation interviews to tourists and foreign residents. The so-called Spanish Model, known worldwide, is based on the synchronized work of many professionals and, above all, on the care provided in Spanish hospitals in contact with the relatives of a deceased person, a potential organ donor. Although Silvia is convinced that it is not her merit: "It's not me, it's the people who are generous", she often repeats when asked about her work.
