- While moving in, Emilia, a single and and independent forty-one-year-old woman, meets her new neighbor, Felipe, an elderly eighty-year-old man who is dealing with his wife’s death. A friendship blooms with their encounters. Through their loneliness and Felipe’s vision on death Emilia’s sense of security is shattered, beginning to question the meaning of her life to finally decide she wants to become a single mother. While Emilia struggles to get pregnant, Felipe faces his own demise. When Felipe exhales his very last breath Emilia manages to get pregnant.
