- Synopsis
- Globetrotter, parachutist, hustler, poetry lover, dreamer... Above all else, an artist. Eduardo, a born survivor, has overcome all of the setbacks that life has given him. Re-baptized as Gilda and considered the last drag queen in the Chinese neighborhood in Barcelona which is at risk of extinction, at 80 years of age he is struggling to get by and performs at night at Madame Rosa, the only cabaret that still lets him perform his art the way he wants to.
  
  The visits to the old folk’s home where his friend Silvia lives, who he has known since they shared a cell in the 70s for being “idle and crooks”, remind him that he is in the last phase of his life, something that he is not willing to accept. Every day Gilda faces his health problems, a flat that is falling apart and bills that he can’t pay, but what he worries about most of all is his ability to continue performing: he wants to die on the stage.
  
  So when Daniel asks him to look after his daughter Chloe, who is just three years old, Gilda thinks he has enough problems already. However, with Daniel in prison and the kid’s mother, Hanna, trying to keep their lives on track by herself, Gilda can’t refuse. Little by little, this time with Chloe turns from an obligation to a source of joy, and Gilda rediscovers his passion for family while the kid breathes the typical life and sweetness of childhood back into him.
