- Synopsis
- Winter of 1977 in Tehran, General Ahmad Mogharrabi, the deputy chief of the country’s armed forces was arrested and immediately executed for espionage during an operation led by the eighth counterintelligence department of the security organization. During a search of his home, a strange device was discovered. A genius army officer is commissioned by the security service to decrypt the device, and while working, he discovers the contents of the encrypted information, including the names of some opponents, including himself. While fleeing to get information out of the organization he is severely injured and his young fiancée, who is not familiar with Tehran, takes him to the restaurant of a man she once had love bond with years before. The man initially helps the injured officer only to help the old lover, but gradually comes to terms with the fact that for some reasons he has to find an organization to rescue the people in danger and move them to a safe place. At the end of the story, the man who has changed in the course of the struggle is killed in a clash with the officer in charge of the eighth counterintelligence department and the officer is killed by revolutionary forces in the last days of the revolution.
