    • Synopsis
    • Communist Albania, 1982 - Frida, an 18 year old village girl, is in love with Artur, a city boy, whose family is politically at odds with the totalitarian government due to his grandfather’s flee to America. Upon discovering this relationship, Frida’s father, an ambitious communist, promptly arranges her engagement to Tomorr Gana, an impulsive, self-centered government operative. Events take a turn when Nick Nuri, an Albanian-American, repatriates. This leads to the internment of Artur’s family, adjacent to Frida’s village, bringing the two close again.
Events throw Artur in politically perilous situations, forcing him into a risky attempt to flee the country. Artur and Frida arrange to meet to say goodbye, but Operative bursts in on them - bringing an unforeseen ending for everyone.
