Description

The Albanian National Center of Cinematography (ANCC) was created in 1997 and is the only governmental national institution that finances, encourages and promotes Albania’s film production. Since its creation the ANCC has supported production, distribution and promotion of 313 films, 79 features, 70 shorts, 97 documentaries and 67 animations. The ANCC actively encourages Albanian filmmakers in developing international co-productions in order to enhance cooperation and distribution.

Objective

The ANCC’s goal is to foster and advance Albanian cinema, encouraging new visions and emerging voices. ANCC is currently working in amending the Law "On Cinematography" regarding minority coproductions, tax shelter and tax incentives. A very important goal remains the lobbing for Albanian films and filmmakers in an international level.
