  We all know that the actual plague devouring our World in general and India in particular is - Population Explosion.
  
  Still there are tens of thousands of families who have crossed the adage of “Hum Do Hamare Do” by manifolds. While some of these families are rearing huge families by hiding behind religious dictums, others are not stopping to produce children because it gives credence to their ‘Manhood’.
  
  “Hamare Baarah” is the story of Manzoor Ali Khan Sanjari (Played by Annu Kapoor) who already has 11 children and is still raring to go for more, inspite of having lost his first wife during the delivery of her 6th child. His second wife is five down already and is now pregnant with her sixth. When doctors tell her that the child will risk her life and she should abort it, Khan Saab refuses and in the world of patriarchy and misogyny that he inhabits, none of his children are able to oppose him.
  
  Or so he thinks. He is in for a huge surprise when his daughter Alfiya decides to take it into her own hands to save her step mother. Alfiya takes her own father to court demanding that her step mother gets an abortion.
  
  Will Alfiya manage to convince her father, or even the court? Will her step mother stand by Alfiya? Will Khan Saab get his “Baarah”? Will The patriarchy ever learn the faults of its ways? “ Hamare baarah” explores these questions.
