- Synopsis
- Fara Jan, a fifteen-year-old Pakistani girl with magical powers immigrates to 1990s suburban Canada along with her eccentric family in the hopes of escaping persecution. Fara's fate is inextricably tied to her family until she decides to destroy age-old traditions and rebuild a new persona in a new country with a little help from her friends. Fara must learn to juggle hormones and potions along with a perpetual culture clash between her family and their new homeland.
