- Synopsis
- The Elite 8 is a 1/2-hour comedy drama series about Lane & the eight girls & women who changed his life. Three actors play Lane from middle school to middle age. The show is set in New York City & is a new iteration of my award-winning Web series.
  
  It’s Sex and the City for its New York City vibe meets This is Us for past, present & future storytelling meets Call My Agent for workplace glamour.
  
  Meet Lane our male protagonist. . .
  
  LANE (The Past)
  14 years old & a math genius. King of the Nerds in his middle school. He is the 1st among them to ask a girl—although not The Girl—to spring formal. The Girl is Stella. After she runs away to Hollywood, Lane begins his search for The One: Stella Surpassed.
  LANE (The Present)
  College by the time he’s 15. Wall Street Quant Trader at 20. Tech investment company at 25. He’s living the dream—18 hour workdays & clubbing ’til 5 AM—in Manhattan. There are many contenders for The One, but Lane has set his sights on whip smart Morgan (his boss).
  LANE (The Future)
  In a dystopian New York City, Lane has transformed from high finance to low boho. Almost. Through his ingenuity he preserved his elite net worth during sequential recessions. He feels he has the soul of a poet & pursues women of a certain age (his) who are artists.
  
  The Elite 8 are. . .
  
  STELLA
  The Girl Next Door & Lane’s 1st true love. Queen Bee of the Middle School. Believes she is destined for movie stardom.
  HALEY
  New Girl Haley—also a math prodigy—is socially awkward yet expansively worldly. In a bizarre love triangle with Young Lane & Stella.
  CERISE
  Trust Fund Baby Anarchist. They meet cute when Cerise protests in front of Lane’s place of employment on Billionaire’s Row.
  MORGAN
  Icy Blonde Investment It Girl. Believes her goodness will be her downfall & so she projects steeliness. Lane’s 2nd true love.
  GIA
  Seductress. Tries to break up Lane & Morgan. Loves the thrill of disruption.
  ANABETH
  The CEO’s girlfriend & a nurturer of tech talent. Anabeth attempts to reel in Lane for a dangerous liaison.
  BLISS
  Of the dystopian future. There are 3 overt dimensions to Bliss: Artist on the Edge, Damsel in Distress & Survivor.
  JULIETTE
  Juliette mesmerizes Lane at her 1-woman show. Lane’s 3rd true love. Until he is confronted with Stella, now 49.
