- Synopsis
- Chandalika is the daughter of an untouchable. One hot day, a Buddhist monk is passing and asks Chandalika for water as he is very thirsty. Chandalika hesitates as untouchables should not have contact with people from higher castes. He changes her life by telling her that she is no less human than him and persuades her to give him water from her well.
