- Synopsis
- American teenager, Helga, and her father, Jack, go on a pilgrimage to the remote Norwegian farm where her long dead mother was born. This trip of a lifetime is almost cut short when a ferocious Bear attacks them upon arrival. Rather than propel them to leave, the severe trauma sparks an innate desire in Helga to stay. Isolated up a mountain, daughter and father find time to bond, but Helga secretly begins to experience strange black outs and excessive body hair growth. As her emotional and psychological state deteriorates further and further, she can't hide her unrelenting transformation from Jack, as self-control gives way to murderous primal urges that will force him back to the states and her becoming a Mountain Bear.
