- Synopsis
- This is the story of Chano, a man who has suffered many misfortunes living a life of delinquency and corruption. He wanders the streets of his urban neighborhood, invisible, ignored and alone. Even still, it is there in his estrangement from reality where he finds the space to live in the present moment with a certain kind of enlightenment.
  An unfortunate occurrence revives Chano´s protective instinct, and he attempts to return to the world of a crime and extreme violence, motivated by compassion for a relationship from his past. The consequences of his actions send him deeper and deeper into danger.
  Awakening Dust is a film that reflects without judgment on the origin of violence, giving a voice to the true protagonists of a world of crime on the outskirts of Mexico City.
  Inhabitants of the real life community of "Campamento 2 de Octubre" portray the characters in this fictional story that surpasses the limits of reality.
