    • Synopsis
    • At the age of 32, ZéliaGattai bought her first photographic camera during her exile in Paris and started to take photographs of the world. At the age of 63, Zélia wrote her first autobiography, “Anarchists, Thank God.” Zélia created an important literary and photographic work based on her own memories, and made Jorge Amado her main character. It is based on her autobiographies, the collection of over 30 thousand photographs, and intervews that the documentary constructs an intimist portrait of ZéliaGattai and the love story she experienced with the internationally recognised writer, Jorge Amado. A poetic experience between cinema and memory.

      The screenplay of the film "Zélia. Memories of Love." won an award at the ‘Longa Doc 2013’ and it was produced with funding from the Brazilian Ministry of Culture.
