For the last few years, the independent theater scene was consolidated as the place where the biggest aesthetic renovation was happening, aside from music and cinema. It was only a matter of time for cinema to start appropriating many of those stories that, by means of originality and talent, became a success with critics and audiences alike. It finally happened, and in the best possible way: with a play that paid tribute to classic cinema and, at the same time, gave new meanings to many of its elements, while shaping a portrayal of an Argentine family throughout the years, with numerous elements from the biography of its author, Javier Daulte. Based on the homonymous play and keeping its cast almost intact, the film comes out unscathed of all possible comparisons, and turns out to be fun musical romantic comedy… from Argentina.
