    • Synopsis
    • After a break-up, María (34) a little overweight and a bit despaired woman, moves into a cold apartment surrounded by unpacked boxes where she deals, without grace and eating excessively, with the small everyday conflicts of her solitude: spending all day in her pajamas and surviving Sundays while attempting without encouragement to fulfill her dream of starting a literary career.

Maria finds a new beginning when by chance she has a “one night stand” with Enzo (30) an attractive waiter with delusions of being a writer, through him she meets Alejo (38), an employee of a copy place and an actor who is trying to star in a play. All three will begin to live an intense friendship that complicates itself towards a love triangle, that will make evident their frustrations and fears of not knowing if they will ever manage to be those who they dreamed to be when they were younger.

Yellow Sunglasses is a tragicomic look about the end of youth and the beginning of adult life whose background is a monotonous Andean city: Quito.
