Iris and Gabbie met when Gabbie traveled from Sweden to work in a shoe store in London. A year into their relationship Gabbie brought Iris to Sweden. Unfortunately, Gabbie's friends were mean to Iris only reason being that she was colored. Gabbie got cold feet and chose not to go back to London and instead study in Sweden.

Three years after the breakup, Iris decided to have a baby by herself and is 9 weeks pregnant when Gabbie calls her. She tells Iris about the book she just released about a suicide bomber and will promote in a TV debate. A while into the conversation, Iris begins to cry and tells Gabbie about an ultrasound and the midwife saying Iris has to end the pregnancy. Iris suspect the midwife to be a racist and feels uncomfortable taking the pills. Gabbie suggests that Iris accompany her to the TV debate in Stockholm. Gabbie knows a midwife there who can probably help with a second opinion.

Taimour works a low-paid job on an assembly line despite his degree as a physiotherapist. He fluctuates between the love for his three children and anger over both personal and global injustices, which channels into his plan to carry out a terrorist attack this day.

During the drive to Stockholm the unresolved separation boils up to the surface causing Gabbie and Iris to clash their different worldviews when they really want nothing else than to be together. The difficulty of getting a second opinion, and the time pressure to get to Gabbie's TV debate makes the day both hectic, comical and dangerous. But the love between the women has Gabbie saving Iris from a life-threatening situation.

At the same time Taimour is also on his way to Stockholm but ends up in several tragi-comic situations challenging his conviction to carry out the attack. The women finally manage to resolve their difficult relationship but not before Gabbie stands face to face with Taimour staring back at her with his thumb on the trigger.
