- Synopsis
- The series revolves around Kathryn "Pepper" Culpepper and her fellow female nurses - who hail from diverse parts of the United States and have varied reasons for serving on the frontline. As they navigate danger, camaraderie, and the chaos of war, they also contend with internal divisions within their small group and resistance from their own allies who oppose women serving in combat.
  
  Despite being on the frontline, the nurses lack military status and are unarmed, relying on their comrades for protection even as they risk their lives to save others and make a positive impact on the world. Every day, they face the very real possibility of becoming casualties of war at the hands of the enemy.
