- For more than 20 years, during many trips from Bordeaux to New York, in the Manhattan district that fascinates him, Seb Farges films his daily life with the women of his life, each time testing new shooting equipment, from super8 to digital. Between documentary, autofiction and video art film, Womanhattan is a mix of "technological obsessions", stories of loves lived and filmed. A film in the first person, tender, humorous, where childhood also has its place, and whose formal audacity cancels the narcissistic risk. Everything moving, moving, moving. Womanhattan is a travelogue of labile emotions, an intimate kaleidoscope that questions this widespread practice of personal video, new language, new form of communication. Thus our nomad screens, become the natural extension of our daily life. The universal of human relations in the digital age and the obsession of the author to set the moment forever.
