- Synopsis
- A young woman with a traumatic past (Chloe), is intent on helping her free-spirited mother (Sharon) recover from lifelong addictions. But after Chloe’s ex-boyfriend torches her caravan and everything in it, including her life savings, she meets up with a mysterious West African man (Dalu) who is also looking for a better life. Having made a promise to her mother, the motley trio embark on an unpredictable road trip in Chloe’s rundown car heading to their belief in a better future. Sparks soon fly between Chloe and Dalu, but Chloe resists. The last thing she wants is to follow in her mother’s footsteps by making repeated wrong choices in love. As the journey continues, Dalu moves from being passenger to ally until Chloe questions his motives and loses trust. The three of them drive through the countryside accompanied by misconceptions and wrong turns, along with humour, passion and pain, which eventually leads to hope and healing.
