- Synopsis
- We left behind the Uruguayan summer towards the Parisian winter with the aim of making a film with the French filmmaker André S. Labarthe. When we arrived we found him on the verge of death. What should we film then? How could we have a cinematic encounter with him? what should we shoot? The film raises all these questions while the camera wanders through the Parisian neighborhoods, the gardens, the sculptures and the french petit cinemas, waiting for the meeting with André. An encounter that finally occurs and is the only and the last, is delicate and intense: while the camera goes through the everyday objects of the house, books and pictures, André -almost out of breath- walks us through his childhood, his youth, through what means cinema for him, recalls his encounter with Buñuel… A few days after this interview, André dies, the camera records the streets of Paris without his presence, waiting for a miracle, that finally comes true.
