    • Synopsis
    • Sokcho is a South Korean seaside resort, located not far from the border with North Korea. In summer, the city is a popular destination but in winter, it is deserted.
SOO-HA is a young woman of 23 years old, whose face reveals a slight western mix. She is close to her mother but has never known her French father. The subject is taboo. Soo-ha proudly cooks in a small, decrepit boarding house, but her daily life is mechanical and routine. It is upset by the arrival of Kerrand, a Frenchman in his fifties who is traveling for an indefinite period.
Although a little hostile to the arrival of Kerrand, Soo-ha is gradually intrigued by this mute and curious character. He is a successful comic book author and likes to explore deserted places to create an album. Soo-ha spies on him because she is fascinated by the states Kerrand puts himself in when he starts drawing, a state that is sometimes animal.
Kerrand asks Soo-ha about her identity, her mixed race, her French origins, awakening in Soo-ha her desire to know more about herself by questioning her mother, but she remains closed to answer.
While the relationship between Soo-ha and her mother becomes strained, a tenuous bond develops between Soo-ha and Kerrand, a fragile relationship in which they observe each other, spy on each other, gauge each other, confide in each other, and sometimes become attached.
