Beautifully shot by Henri Alekan, the noted photographer of Jean Cocteau’s 1946 motion picture BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. A semi-autobiographical story about a shoestring movie producer and his ragtag crew. Stranded in a remote part of Portugal, and at a crucial point in shooting, the cinematographer (Sam Fuller) informs the director Friedrich (Patrick Bauchau) that they have run out of film and the shadowy producers in the US are putting the shoot on hold until they raise more funds. Friedrich sets off to find their elusive producer, finally tracking him down in LA, hiding from the Mafia.
