    • The cross-media project "Who is Thomas Müller?" is a humorous quest for finding the most average German. "Thomas Müller" is the personification of the "super-average" - a construct created by the statisticians in oder to deliver a role model for advertising, politics and economy. But who is the real face behind the statistically most common name in Germany? Who is the average "Thomas Müller" of Germany?
      "Who is Thomas Müller?" uses a balanced mix of styles consisting of traditional documentary elements (such as road-movie structure) and modern narrative forms (such as graphics, cartoon animation, etc) to finally get to the point where all statistics end: The documentary will show us real individuals who are named Thomas Müller but do not at all correspond to usual Germans. These encounters make the film fast, funny, serious, thoughtful and biting.
      "Who is Thomas Müller?" is a cross-media project combining the worlds of cinema, television and the internet. One central element of the film lies in its online content, thus opening up the target group especially towards younger audiences. The wide world of the Web 2.0 gives us the opportunity here to create a "real virtual" Thomas Müller, and through "him" we can interact with his audience, "followers" and "Facebook friends". This will create an active online community around the project...
