- Synopsis
- LUCAS (24) is a young man of childish character and a strict moral rectitude, marked by his upbringing in a foster home for Catholic orphans, and a past with an active participation in the Boy Scouts. The future seems bright for him when he gets a job as an office assistant in an insurance company. It is there where he meets his boss, ALBERTO (65), a married and
  serene adult man, with an almost paternal attitude. he also comes to meet his two new colleagues (and friends of Alberto):
  ALEX (40) an ex-con who studied Law in prison and lives a life full of excesses, and ELIAS (55), a doctor, hypochondriac and former family man, now divorced and desperate to return his two children`s custody to his wife because "they are very cruel." Also present is LAURA (30), Alberto`s personal secretary who, unknown for the rest, has a past relationship with
  Lucas, and who is also attached to her other three coworkers by a strange mix of refusal, desire and passion.
  
  Lucas's relationship with his peers has a difficult start, especially with Alex, who does not trust him. Alex`s distrust is motivated primarily by the need of the three friends to secretly continue scamming the company, with the complicity of RAUL (45), an irreverent taxi driver to whom labor accidents happen too often.
  A few weeks later, trying to defuse the situation, Alberto organizes a barbecue at his isolated weekend house on an islandin the Tigre swamp.
  
  After an uncomfortable situation that almost ends in a fist fight, when doing groceries (where Alex tries to steal a salami from a Chinese supermarket, and Lucas incriminates him in front of the cashier), the four companions arrive on the island
  and prepare to enjoy the day. On their way to Alberto`s house, they encounter a series of altars and statues (with a strange halfway form between penis and vagina) left by believers in the island in gratitude to THE HERMAPHRODITE, a pagan saint
  linked to sexual dysfunction.
  The day passes, friends relax and alcohol flows through the mouth of all but Lucas, who only drinks bottled water. However, this time of apparent peace will soon be broken by an unexpected but suspicious accident, Laura`s incomprehensible presence on the island (escorted by two Coast Guard officers), and the imperceptible intervention of a stranger, events that will make tragedy become present in more than one occasion , changing the five coworkers` lives
  forever.
