    • Synopsis
    • Whorehouse turned into a refugee center in Seville, Spain. That is the setting of this uplifting and ‘pop’ human interest documentary. Welcome To Spain is a different immigration story, taking an unconventionally light but realistic approach to the issue of immigration in Europe.



      When award-winning filmmaker Juan Antonio Moreno Amador learned that Seville’s last brothel was being repurposed into a refugee reception center, he moved in with his cameras. After two years of getting to know the people, families and their traumas, he shares their impressions of what life is like in this completely new European culture. Excited and fearing the unknown, the new guests will have to learn all about their new country and will be surprised by Spaniards just as much as Spaniards will be by them.
