    • Synopsis
    • Jamil and Milad are two middle-class Syrian brothers with contrasting personalities: Jamil is a tough-minded carpenter, and Milad, a sensitive trumpeter.
      As the warin Syrie intensifies, Jamil flees to Lebanon. Milad chooses to stay with their family in Syria, but soon feels like a stranger, detained in his own country. Meanwhile, back in Beirut, Jamil realises that there's no future for him in Lebanon. Separately, they both decide to flee illegally to Europe.
      Their closest cousin, Wissam, films both odysseys from Damascus to Beirut, Berlin and Stockholm. Their journeys bring up childhood memories, their aspirations for the future and the legacy they're taking with them or leaving behind; making us question along the way the true meaning of "home".
