    • Synopsis
    • Krystof (44), his brother Yerik (27) and Captain Hagen (55) are three sailors who have been stranded for twenty-two weeks on an immense fishing vessel off the port of Chimbote. They do not have news of the fishing company and they can no longer stay in Peruvian waters either. Their immigration status hangs by a thread.
Krystof has come down to the port on more than one occasion to get food and medicine to alleviate his brother's illness. Thus, he establishes a relationship with Sonia (40), a woman who sells breakfasts in a popular market with the help of her stepson Tito (20). Sonia becomes the only hope of getting ahead for Krystof; She proposes to open a restaurant and attend Yerik's disease together. But Krystof's pride restrains him and he is not able to accept her offer.
In a desperate act, Krystof suggests to Captain Hagen another way out: sell the engine of one of the boats of the company and buy the return ticket with that money. Enthusiastic with the idea, the sailors celebrate on the ship in advance and Tito joins the meeting. They drink more than they need and, trying to defend his brother in a fight, Krystof becomes violent with Tito, kills him and throws his body into the sea.
Krystof can not return to his country or to the fishing vessel. He tries to confess his crime, but he is not capable of it. If he confesses, he loses Sonia. If he does not, there is a possibility of life on the mainland for him and his brother, but based on a lie.
