- Synopsis
- Set against the backdrop of the end of the 1920’s Mexican Revolution, Wanderer’s Feast follows Nicolasa Flores who has, until now, been leading a double (perhaps triple) life as a law-abiding school teacher and activist, which was hard enough even before the police found out about her illicit love life.
  
  Presented with the evidence of her lesbian lifestyle, Nicolasa finds herself trapped by the corrupt police force as an unwilling informant; disillusioned with her career, burnt-out on activism, and eaten up by the kind of guilt that only comes with being forced to either betray your friends or exposing your lover to an unforgiving society.
  
  But just when things can’t get worse, she is forced by the authorities to accept an invitation to dinner by the young but, by now, infamous bank robber and, in the eyes of the authorities, one of the most dangerous and wanted men in the world, the Spanish Robin Hood, Buenaventura Durruti himself.
  
  A cynical Nicolasa accepts Durruti’s invitation, hoping to unmask him as a fraud and bargain for her and her lover’s freedom. That is until, over the course of the long meal, she begins to separate the myth from the person just as her police handlers interfere with the agreed plans on how to capture Durruti.
  
  As the evening draws to an end, Nicolas must decide whether she can trust Durruti, trick the corrupt police and realign her ideals to save her friends, her lover and her community.
