MECHA COOPERATIVA - as PROD

Documentary - Completed 2017

As a tribute to the deep historical significance implied by the peace dialogue process between the Colombian Government and the FARC guerrillas, we devised a series of five animations based on testimonies of survivors of the conflict.
This is the story of Jairo.

    • Synopsis
    • Jairo is a taxi driver in Bogotá. He cannot work at night because he cannot leave his mother alone at night. She suffers from panic attacks even twelve years after they left Medellin, where she received the latest threats. Jairo had to live with her a massacre at five years old, in 1988: on November 11 a group of assassins entered Segovia shooting and throwing grenades indiscriminately. Among the more than forty innocent dead was his brother.
