- Synopsis
- When backpacker millennials Benjamin, Judith and Katharina travel to Cuba to find Katharina’s missing brother Wanja, they become more and more entrapped within a maze of delusions, sincere feelings and sexual desires: It begins as an exciting adventure and turns into a passionate love triangle.
  The film examines western projections on Cuba: A perceived tropical paradise with beaches and salsa, where however communist realities clash with the quest for individualism. Although Judith and Katharina seek real passion and love, they can’t escape the reality of economic inequality. And always-correct Benjamin will realise that true connection and friendship exist beyond borders, when he finally acts on his true emotions.
