- Synopsis
- Driss and Zahra left their fishing village to take their 6-year-old Ayoub sons to the emergency department of the Casablanca public hospital. They find Houcine, Driss’s brother, with whom they have been angry for years. The doctor diagnoses a brain problem requiring urgent intervention. It is the beginning of a painful journey that will push everyone to go all the way. How far will they go to save Ayoub?
  
  The film takes place in Casablanca, over a period of 24 hours, mostly in a public hospital. We meet different characters, patients and caregivers, rich and poor, people from the countryside or cities, Moroccans from abroad… From all these trajectories emanates the photograph of a country in suffering, torn into compromises and compromises, and seeing in exile its only salvation. The character of Ali, who has just tried to commit suicide, is in the image of this suffering, and goes through the film trying to reveal the contradictions of each one but also their fears and their secret hopes.
  Ayoub has had a headache for several weeks, and no medication is helping him. His parents, Driss and Zarah, very worried, drive him to the hospital in Casablanca. It is also an opportunity for them to visit Houcine, Driss' brother, in the hope of recovering the inheritance he stole from them.
  Houcine is a street vendor, always on the lookout for a way to make money. He lives with Najia, a free and strong-mouthed woman. They are both dealing with a middle-class Moroccan couple: Najia is pregnant and they will sell the baby to this couple who cannot have children. But Najia just had a miscarriage, and hasn’t told anyone yet.
