- Synopsis
- In 1862 in Minnesota, the greatest war with American Indians took place.
  Nearly 800 settlers were killed in the Minnesota River Valley.
  “Uprising” tells the story of a Confederate spy, Nathan Cates, who is sent to Minnesota to start a war between the government and the Dakota Sioux. The Dakota people, led by their chief Little Crow, had been cheated and misused for decades. Some were starving and they were ripe for war. It only takes a spark, an isolated incident, to ignite the conflict, which expands all over central Minnesota.
