- Synopsis
- London, 2007. Axl, 20, from Poland, arrives in the teeming metropolis. Looking like a refugee from a Manga comic strip, suffering from bouts of amnesia – the legacy of a childhood fall compounded by blackouts that occur whenever he drinks too much – Axl embarks on a quest to find the father who abandoned him when he was six. He takes up residence in a vibrant, colourful squat – a temporary home to a community of young people from all over the globe who have come to London’s 21st century melting pot, hoping to transform their lives and forge new futures.
