    • Synopsis
    • We follow Drag Queens and Drag Kings, showing their differences and if Drag Kings are more underrepresented in the cabaret scene. Focused in the UK's biggest scenes in London and Brighton, the LGBTQ+ capital of the UK, is where our main sources for contributors and local artists are based. There is a network of contributors that could lead to discovering artists from abroad, and expand the research further. We find ourselves in the european drag capital of Berlin, where the drag scene is thriving and highlighting the best of drag king culture, showing the stark contrast of underrepresented Drag King culture in the UK.

Focusing on the background story and life of the main contributors in juxtaposition with the bright lights and the on-stage glamour, the documentary shows how multi dimensional drag artists are and how different they are as individuals breaking down stereotypes that are reproduced within society.
The two main contributors are up and coming performers and social influencers, Copper Topp and award winning Brent Would of Gold Rush and seen on BBC3, E4 and Comedy Central. Through their life interactions we follow as the network of contributors grows bigger and the audiences world becomes larger in their awareness of who is out their in the Drag World scene. We follow artists that focus on different styles of drag, depending on their music preferences and stylistic choices.

Having interviews but also a lot of actuality from their life the documentary is a combination of mobile footage and in-depth conversations. It is crucial to see the contributors in action during their everyday life and interactions alongside their artistic personas aiming to show each person’s story. How they developed their persona, what are their references and how their personality intertwines with their artistic self. What are the differences and the struggles between drag queens and drag kings, and how those differences are perceived and established in English society.

Ending with a Berlin Drag world extravaganza, and showing us what we can learn as an English society and how to progress to Drag culture as well as celebrating how far we have come and what we have.
