Incarcerated in a prison in the South of France, 30-year-old Océane is tormented by the fear that her daughter will forget her. To preserve this vital link, Delphine, her bourgeois and mythomaniac cellmate, advises her to bypass legal channels.
Hélios, an internationally renowned choreographer, launches a danse workshop in prison. Along with other inmates, Océane and Delphine sign up, looking for some form of getaway through dance. Despite the harshness of the prison environment, they start to express themselves through their bodies. This eclectic crew of individualities gradually becomes a collective under the demanding yet gentle guidance of Hélios.
When the opportunity arises to perform at a Festival outside the prison walls, Océane sees a unique opportunity to reconnect with her daughter. Nothing goes according to plan, but a wind of freedom blows through these inmates, who find a way to break free of her chains through dance.
