    • Synopsis
    • An eight-year-old son, Dimitri and his immigrant mother, Alevtina in Madrid wait for his father to return. Since the father left them, she has taken care of him by herself. A Basque woman, Enaitz meets a traveling Japanese man, Izumi in San Sebastian. They share their stories about home and gradually become closer. She spends time with him despite knowing that he is going to leave one day. Kazuko and her grandson Hikaru celebrate Obon to welcome the spirits of the deceased. Kazuko prepares for the ceremony while Hikaru listens to stories told by family members and discovers various aspects of his late grandfather. These fragmental stories of each daily life in different places imply their reminiscence. Their memories resonate with our nostalgia.
