    • Synopsis
    • The Barros family is your typical American family. Sofia, is a 40-year-old working professional and the pillar of the family. Her husband, Ben, is a quirky 40-year-old and an aspiring tech entrepreneur. They have a sixteen-year-old daughter, Victoria, who struggles with self-esteem and body image issues and a five-year-old son, Mateo, who has a vivid imagination and suffers from night terrors.

After suffering some financial setbacks, the family receives an offer that is too good to be true. A representative for a big tech company presents Ben with an amazing opportunity. They offer him a packaged deal that includes a high paying job in management to develop and implement his very own tech start-up and a home specifically designed for them in an innovative and idyllic town owned by the company.

Initially, the family loves their new setting and seems to be thriving in their new environment. But soon after, they experience supernatural events that affect their behavior and emotional and mental well-being. The family starts to fall apart one family member at a time. Inexplicably immune to what her family is experiencing, Sofia soon realizes something is terribly wrong with their idyllic town and must find the source and save her family before it’s too late.

The concept for UBIQUITOUS has been taking shape for several years now. Our reliance on technology continues to increase exponentially, and it has affected our lives in many positive ways. But what if a dark and supernatural force were to use technology as a means to influence and affect our behaviors? This is the inspiration behind UBIQUITOUS. That said, the premise of our film is not that technology is bad, but that technology is a tool that can be used for really good things or really bad things.
