- Synopsis
- A bride on the run from her murderous husband-to-be stumbles upon a ghost town in the middle of the desert, a surreal landscape that once served as setting for Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns, whose inhabitants still dream of being film extras. When she takes a job as a housekeeper for the local eccentric, she soon discovers that she is working for none other than Claudia Cardinale, who has come to this Godforsaken place to find anonymity. As the two women embark on a friendship, they find the strength to face the demons, both past and present. Add to the mix a lovesick cowboy vying for the young woman’s lonely heart and a local mystic eager to lead them out of the desert, and you’ve got ro-mantic comedy thriller that’s a post-modern homage to cinema.
  But hey, it’s just like in a movies.
