    • Synopsis
    • Shailaja Vaidya, a Final Engineering student, suspends her studies and returns to her native village Shibarga to reopen Sharada Vidya Mandir, the school started by her ailing father Annaji Vaidya. The school is housed in one of the rooms of their large house.
      Shailaja an ‘inexperienced’ teacher is unable to control or teach the 12 children in class. To make matters worse she gets a circular from the Education Department stating that schools which have less than 20 students will be shut down.
      Shailaja’s determined to achieve the target of 20 students. She uses innovative teaching methods that attract many more children thus ensuring that Sharada Vidya Mandir remains open.
