    • Synopsis
    • Fouad, a young overweight actor, best known for his spoof comedy roles in cheesy films, undergoes a gastric sleeve surgery that causes him significant weight loss and forces him to miss out on many acting opportunities due to the major change in his looks. Lacking financial resources, his life turns upside down and he finds himself on the verge of a total breakdown.

Rescue comes in the form of a proposal to host the local version of an international dating TV show that offers a panel of women the choice of a potential suitor. Fouad accepts the offer and gradually gets back on his feet.

However, the airing of the dating show creates a nation-wide controversy led by a well-known young, smart and witty activist-journalist, Rahaf (30), who, coming from a conservative Muslim background yet familiar and open to westernized societal precepts, found the show outrageous.

Maroun (45), the CEO of a competitor TV network decides to join efforts with Rahaf in an attempt to stop the show and limit the huge financial losses his TV is suffering due to the record-breaking ratings the dating show is scoring.

Maroun and Rahaf's intentions clash with the persistence of keeping the dating show running on air and lead public opinion and governmental authorities to fraction between those rejecting the insulting image of society they claim is portrayed and those fighting for freedom of speech and women’s rights praising the show to be sanctifying.

Stuck in the middle of this chaos, Fouad has to deal with public criticism and accusations drawn-out to his private life forcing him to re-question his life decisions spanning from the day he dreamt of being a celebrity up until the burden he finds himself carrying.
