    • Synopsis
    • TRIPLE A is a mockumentary with an actual documentary inside. It tells Artist António André’s (Triple A) unusual story in the usual artist-doc fashion. And it shows Arcos de Valdevez, a small northern village, while trying to capture the relation between the Portuguese and that thing called “the arts”. This Artist’s work is a “continuous performance” towards a specific goal: being a normal guy. He doesn’t want to be shown as an artist or speak on camera about anything artistic. So the documentary will develop strategies in order to reveal what’s behind his work. One of those will be to interview “real-life” people — a critic, an art curator, etc — about this fictional gesture. Through all of this, Arcos de Valdevez comes up to us like a question: really, what’s art for?
