Trimming is the action of cutting with scissors the leaves from the marihuana buds.
The trimmigrants come to California looking for jobs in the marihuana farming.
G & D were there during three years working in a farm located in the Emerald Triangle and decided to film a movie about their trip.

    • Synopsis
    • commercial actor and D. is a director assistance in commercials. In 2015 they faced with the possibility of farming marihuana in California so they went there looking for an adventure, but in there they found even more than what they were expecting: Latin and Europeans are the most involved in the trimming – the action of cutting the excess of the leaves coming from the buds-. People from all over the world gets to California and stay during 2 to 3 months in the farms, working for around 10 to 12 hours per day to get to the pound, and by night relax. The interaction inside the farm is like living in a big brother formed by marihuana smokers.
      Characters such as musicians, Vietnam veterans, farmers, intellectuals, cloners, biologists and much more were introduced in front of the camera.
      They print the day by day of the trimmers and they sacrifice they have to go to get to the pound.
      The hiring of migrants when Trump is being the president, the legalization of the cannabis, it medical uses and variety of products, the work of the harvest and the dangers of being deported, are the main subject of the documentary.
      Trimmigrants is an unstructed, dynamic and controversial documentary; a mix between the format used by VICE and Michael Moore, and it tells the story of the 3 years trip taken by G. & D. in the Emerald Triangle where the trimmigrants go looking for the green gold.
