- Synopsis
- Struggling stand-up comic Samantha "Sam" Slade (played by Samantha Hill) and reclusive writer Becky Holt (played by Perri Cummings) are thrown together when Becky experiences strange phenomena in her own home, and Sam, desperately broke, poses as a private eye investigating the case for cash - but will Sam's first case be the death of her?
  
  Cinema Viscera's first feature film is a loving homage to the film noir detective and screwball comedy pictures of the 1930s and '40s, shot in beautiful black-and-white, yet set during our very different, increasingly complex internet age of the 2010s, where a woman with something to say can so quickly become a target for stalkers and trolls with malevolent intent.
