- Synopsis
- The 23-year-old Eva has an accursed gift: She can experience events from the past. When she encounters charismatic Alex, she is persuaded to move into the same apartment building in which Alex’s boyhood crush was murdered under questionable circumstances. In order to gain access to the dead girl’s past, Eva begins to take on her personality — not realizing that this transformation will draw the attention of the killer.
  
  In an apartment building, a gruesome crime occurs. A young woman, NORA (19) is brutally beaten to death. The walls are smeared with blood. The murderer leaves not a trace. After a few weeks, the apartment is already prepared for its next tenants. Not a mark exists to hint at the crime. And with those traces, the murder, too, disappears from people’s minds.
  Ten years later. EVA (23) is new in town and on the hunt for an apartment. At a showing, she meets ALEX (24), the son of the landlord. Over the course of the apartment tour, sparks fly between the two. But this search has lead Eva right into an apartment in which a horrible murder occurred years before. Suddenly, she has an intense vision. All over again, she experiences the killing in bloody detail.
  Without giving herself away, Eva declines the apartment. But Alex is perplexed. He knows exactly that a woman was murdered in the apartment. He knew Nora; her murder will still not give him any peace. He discovers through some research that Eva has a mysterious gift: from the time she was young, she could experience what has happened to others - even after long periods of time - as if the intense events left an invisible imprint behind. Only with the help of medication can Eva suppress her unwanted visions.
  Eva and Alex see each other again that same evening. Once more, it sizzles between them. But now Nora’s murder stands in their way. Alex sees Eva’s gift as a chance to finally clear up the murder after so long. He asks Eva, just once, to induce her ability. In return, he offers her another apartment in the building that has never been occupied.
  So begins a criminal investigation of an unusual
  character. Through the systematic re-staging of the
  past, Eva and Alex attempt to provoke her visions.
  Soon, they have their first success. Yet, the more the
  puzzle pieces of Nora’s memories come together in
  a complete image, the more markedly Eva begins to
  change. In her head, Nora’s memories begin to mix
  with her own. How far can she go without losing her
  identity to the dead woman?
  Her transformation cannot be kept from the other residents
  of the apartment building. Without Alex and
  Eva’s knowledge, an unknown assailant is keeping
  an eye on them. The past threatens to repeat itself.
