    • Synopsis
    • The routine of the quaint rural town of Matangtubig is broken by the discovery of a girl’s remains, defiled in an open grass field, and a report of another girl missing.
The people call for justice and a search ensues to find the culprits. This catches the attention of the national media, which sensationalizes the entire town, putting it on trial for the secrets it keeps.
Meanwhile, Homil Ricarte (Amante Pulido), a local fisherman, struggles with his conscience as fear prevents him from confessing that he was a witness to the abduction of the two girls. He starts to grow anxious and overly conscious whenever they are mentioned, much to the confusion of his wife, Vivian (Star Orjaliza) and daughter, Helen (Mariam Orjaliza).
As the investigation starts to dry up with no witness or lead, the townsfolk become entities of decency and sham. So to divert the attention away from the crime, they go through with the yearly festival by the lake, unaware that a sleeping evil has awakened to claim them.
